Arctic Blast - Cool Bandages

If we think of the blood vessels as a hose with water flowing through it, when a soft tissue injury occurs (strain, sprain or bruising) to a section of the hose, two things are required to prevent further damage. Firstly cooling which will slow the flow, but not enough, by secondly adding compression to the hose, the desired effect is achieved.

Once the soft tissue injury has been stabilised, then it is time to elevate it, and then rest it.

Otherwise known as RICE Therapy, this probably should be known as ICER Therapy.

Arctic Blast Cooling Compression Bandages come in a ready to use foil pouch, simply tear open the foil pouch and apply the bandage. Evaporative cooling will begin immediately, drawing heat out – not pushing cold in, creating a continuous rewarming of the top tissue from the deep tissue and in the process achieve deep tissue cooling.

Once cooling has been completed the bandage can be left in place as it continues to provide the necessary compression.

To reactivate the bandage, simply add Arctic Blast Recharge.
